Review of Tender Mercies (1983) by Marita L — 03 Apr 2010

I am waiting for "Crazy Heart" to be available on dvd, and was told that "Tender Mercies" could be a good alternative to watch while waiting. And I really think it was. I have always been av big fan of Robert Duvall, and he does not disappoint here either. Brilliant actor!

So, basically this is a nice movie about a country & western singer trying to get hold of his life again. It is from 1983, and the only negative thing to say about it is that it may feel a bit like a typical 80`s movie. Still, it is better than a lot of other movies from the same period, in my view.

But I am still waiting for "Crazy Heart", though.
