Review of Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny (2006) by Jeremy S — 04 Dec 2009

The story follows Tenacious D on there epic quest to become Rock Gods!The Musical sections I thought were absolutely hilarious.Some of my favorites being:Classico,Final Showdown,Kickapoo,and Master Exploder.However,most of the dialouge parts aren't that well written and stereotypes and cliches fill the parts between the songs.Some sightgags work,but others are at best medicore.The main plot is supposed to have some clever satire about rock and how overly-exterme it can get,I don't really get the satire.I'm am a huge music fan and maybe thats the reason why.

I'm giving this film a "fresh rating".Jack Black's cursing skills and KG make the movie for me though.There are very gleeful moments in this film that just make me think damn I wish my life was this awesome!
