Review of Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny (2006) by Chris J — 23 Oct 2010

Although this is my all-time favorite movie, I can see why many would not enjoy this film. The story is very simple, and the plot is only driven by wave after wave of pot, sex, and musical jokes. It is filled with references, and inside jokes that only a huge fan of Tenacious D would appreciate. But that's what the movie is made for, Tenacious D's biggest fans. If you love the D, then watch this movie, you will enjoy it. If you're not a D fan, but you are looking for some cheap laughs, or just somethin' to play at a party/sleepover/attempt to get in your girlfriends pants, this is the flick for you. Or if you're a pot head, this movie will make more sense to you than anyone else.

I give this movie 5 stars because I am part of the above criteria, for those not in that criteria, I'd say it deserves about 3 stars.
