I guess I could see how this could be classified as a guilty pleasure film; there's nothing particularly awful about it and the actors are all very likable but...it just wasn't good. It felt like the screenwriters were going for a cross between Mystic Pizza and Empire Records, but none of the story threads were particularly smart, affecting or well-executed - they just sort of happened.
Although, this was the only instance in which I've understood why women find Jenson Ackles appealing (I mean, the name alone...), so there's that.
