Review of Temple Grandin (2010) by Tom R — 10 Jan 2011
Temple Grandin is a great visual biopic with believable acting, fantastic editing, and solid direction. It very easily could have been a Oscar-baiting sob story about autism or an exaggerated Upton Sinclair-esque movie, but it's a rousing tale with a heartfelt performance from Claire Danes.
When it comes to autism, at times, it can be funny, but never tries to make the audience feel guilty. Its direction and editing help you to understand autism. Good for Danes for winning the Golden Globe.
