Review of Temple Grandin (2010) by Rachel W — 03 Mar 2011
This movie blew me away. Had this been allowed to go for an oscar, I think Natalie Portman would have lost to Claire Danes. A bio-pic of Temple Grandin, an autistic woman who changed the cattle industry in my pursuit of a better, calmer way to slaughter animals, the film takes an amazing trip into the life of an autistic woman in a time when little was known about Autism.
Claire Danes did an amazing job showing that autistic people are "different, not less." I was in tears by the end. I recommend this for everyone.
