Review of Temple Grandin (2010) by Bob W — 26 Apr 2011
The movie (and Clare Danes) really brought Temple's story to life. It illustrated the way people with Autism have trouble with language, from her aunt and uncle "waking up with the rooster" (lol) to the way she introduces herself--you can tell she's been told to say those words but they have little meaning to her otherwise.
I'd read her first book so I was eager to see the film, but my boyfriend had no interest... He happened to be in the room when I started watching and after 15 minutes he was sitting next to me for the rest of the movie!
