Review of Tell No One (2006) by Andy J — 08 May 2009
Just a few minutes into the film, I was not sure if I would enjoy this so-called "thriller". It only took a few more minutes for me to realize that I was in for one hell of a experience. "Tell No One" is a beautifully twisty two hour ride that will leave you guessing till the very end.
It's the kind of film that loves to dangle the prize in front of your face and constantly tug away. The plot starts off simple; a couple go off skinny-dipping at a private lake when suddenly the wife screams and disappears.
The film suddenly shifts eight years forward, where we find the husband working as a doctor in Paris. While working, he suddenly receives an unusual email that takes him on a wild chase across Paris as he tries to unravel the holes in his wife's death eight years ago.
It may sound like I'm giving a lot away, but fear not - there is much to savor and absorb in this film. The film is beautifully shot, and scenes brilliantly pieced together to culminate into one dramatic ending.
"Tell No One" is carefully-crafted film with that delivers on all accounts.
