Review of Tell No One (2006) by Craig E — 26 Jun 2009
The story is good but the pacing just doesn't work. This is a case of where a smart writer should have let somebody else direct as the paint by numbers presentation clouds the narrative and ultimately saps the surprise twists of any energy.
The performances were great (I did not know Kristin Scott Thomas was fluent in French) and the cinematography had some nice moments. However, all of that could not save what is simply a problematic approach. I can't say it is a film I can recommend beyond any fleeting interest. It could have been more but simply wasn't.
