Review of Tekken (2010) by Duarte S — 06 Aug 2010
Bad acting, cheesy one-liners, ridiculous plot. "Tekken" has everything you expect from a video game inspired film. However, it is a masterpiece when compared to similar movies like Van Damme's "Street Fighter", but that's not saying much. The fight scenes in this film are quite spectacular. That is the only reason to watch this film. There is plenty of eye candy for the guys, especially Christine played by Kelly Overton. At its heart though "Tekken" is a straight-to-video, B-movie and a mediocore one at that.
On an action movie scale this movie would be 40%. Because things like plots and acting aren't required in action movies.
