Review of Tekken (2010) by Twins S — 07 Nov 2010
Bandai namco, had gone for years postponing the making of the film. For 10 years I read about it.
For 10 years I read -Namco is looking for the best script to give the project green light.-.
Speculation on making a total CGI film or using real actors, who is going to be who?
But one day, with much surprise, we read on you tube 'Tekken2010 trailer'.
We thought, another fan-made trailer. Instead 'although it looked like one' it was the trailer of the real movie.
Where did we get lost? we do noy know..
Any how we watched this film, and despite the hype and happiness to finally watch TEKKEN the movie, we must say........................................................ this film is not the BEST! it does not totally give to the Namco series the worthy translation on silver screen.
It is only fun to watch for the lovers of the game but it is not totally satisfying.
Some fighter's style, like Jin Kazama, Eddy Gordo, Brian Fury are very accurate, however others are totally neglected in their style (Cristina Montero and Joshimitzu for instance) and looks (Dragonov, Jacks).
In the movie not every of the popular characters appears and some of them do not really look like. (Marshal law unfortunately does not look like ether the character of the game nor has any resembles to Bruce lee body structure).
Anyway what we are saying is, why waiting 10 years to release something like this?
Yes it is better than Van-Damme-Strret fighter and D.O.A, but we think Mortal Kombat is still a better fighting game adaptation to date.
On a positive note, this movie is not total rubbish, the fight scenes are entertaining, and the female fighters are soooooo Smoking!
Christina Montero?super HOT! that explains our 2 stars.
