Review of Tekken (2010) by Jasper O — 27 Feb 2011

This movie is a huge disappointment to both Tekken fans and fans of martial arts movies. Otherwise well-done fight scenes are ruined by silly and hokey attempts at emulating the fighters' superhuman abilities, though there is no explanation as to why they have such abilities.

Plot events unfold in an "oh, by the way" manner, with little build-up and less payoff. The storyline of the game series is almost entirely ignored and replaced with a much less engaging one.
