Review of Tekken (2010) by Andy Y — 20 Jul 2011
Probably going to say this is one of the better video game adaption to movie...With a 35 million budget I thought they could of done something a bit more spectacular. The story was kind of ehhh and screwed up in my opinion. With only 15 game characters and most of them aren't really fan favorites as well. I really can't say much more since I am a fan of the game so the movie to me was only mediocre.
The character design for the movie was aite but I thought they should of kept Jin's signature red flames over the movie blue even if it is a alternate color signature is signature. I was really disappointed with no Devil power uses =(. Steve Fox is a run down fighter and now Jin's agent and trainer wtf and the power gloves was his and he gave them to Jin...and it really didn't have the power ups. I really don't want to get in to the characters over all they look the partish but the fight style of some could of been better.
There was really no set ending as well it seems to be hinting there maybe a sequel...but who knows well see how it sells. If there is a sequel they might add in the significant of the Mishima blood and see Devil Jin in action hahaha.
Still over all fight sequence was meh, acting was ok, wasn't too wow with it like I said one of the better ones if you think back SF, MK, Laura Croft...etc.
I think I need to play some Tekken to take my this movie away from my mind...lol.
