Review of Teeth (2000) by Richard D — 05 Dec 2009
Finally saw this dentata-based Sundance Jury winner, and other than the jaw-dropping horror-comic portions of genital mastication, I found it to be pretty mundane. The buildup is slow and completely predictable, and it surprised me that Lichtenstein choose a realistic-serious approach for the first half of the film.
Occasional glimmers of creativity, so I hope he continues to work. Recommendation: if you must see it, fast forward to the naughty bits.
