Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016) by Dominic D — 11 Jun 2016

I thought this movie was fun. Not super funny or anything, but being a childhood fan of the franchise, I really like this updated interpretation of the characters. Once again, they look cool, and I found the interaction between the turtles themselves to be more strongly featured in this movie than the last one.

Overall, the movie feels like a cross between a retro cartoon made real, and a modern superhero movie. It's bizarre and over the top at points, but I thought it was cool. Maybe more suited for kids/teens, with nostalgia for those in my generation, but that's just fine.

If you can forgive the silliness and just enjoy the ride, I think it's definitely worth watching.
