Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016) by Mike G — 24 Jul 2016
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows review- A much better improvement over the much hated 2014 film. That being said, not everything is perfect. Michael Bay is back as the "Producer" of this testosterone filled action packed sequel, but his fingerprints are all over this film as if he directed it too.
Which may or may not be a bad thing. I've always considered Michael Bay as the fast food meal of directors. You know it's bad for you and there's better product out there, but it tastes so good when your eating it.
As far as the film goes there are plenty of things to pick apart. Megan Fox is still a terrible actress who delivers her lines like shes drunk, high, or air-headed, and is only getting work because of her looks, a plot thread that starts to go somewhere then is dropped later on, and logic takes a back seat to action scenes.
This film may please kids and long time fans of the franchise by giving them fan favorites and easter eggs but for the uninitiated, you will think "this is mindless and stupid" For what it is I give this film a C.
