Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016) by Coolquinn17 — 07 Aug 2016
If you weren't really that in love with the first one then you'll fall in love with this dumb and fun sequel.
I really liked how they FINALLY included the classic Tmnt villains like Behop, Rock steady and Krang. For a Micheal Bay produced film, the characters designs are ACTUALLY done right, good job Bay, you finally learned to make them resemble their cartoon counterparts! The actors that played/voiced the characters did a great job. They knew how to be both threatening and funny.
There's more focus on the turtles, which is awesome cause it's their movie and it should focus on them the most. In the first movie, we had to wait for 20 minutes before we could see them but in the sequel, they appear right away.
The action in the film was awesome like it was in the first film, especially the final battle between the turtles and Krang. The effects and effort they put into this is great.
The Tmnt theme song was in the movie which was freakin awesome and I really liked how the movie had a few tributes and heart to the original tmnt cartoon.
I didn't like how Shredder had a lack of action scenes. I mean he does appear more than he did in the first film but he doesn't have any action scenes at all, not even one. By the way, Brian Tee did a great job playing Shredder.
Also, the part where April O'Neil was changing into school girl clothes was completely pointless. It could of been cut from the movie.
I thought that the movie was a bit predictable like when the turtles are divided. Yeah, we all know they're going to get back together when Krang comes to earth.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Out of the Shadows is one of those movies where it stayed true to the source material.
