Don't go into this expecting the cartoon to show through. It's a new version of the TMNT for a new generation. Go in and just enjoy the film. Better than the first TMNT. I'd either see this in IMAX or IMAX 3D and not the Dolby Cinema if you're going to AMC theatres as the sound and chair vibration isn't really utilized all that well.
All in all, a fun movie if you're a fan of the series. If you eat, sleep and breathe TMNT you'll probably be upset at it.
