Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016) by Mattyice — 04 Jun 2016
Out of the Shadows is way better than the first film, but that's not saying much. It's still a Michael Bay produced film, so its got all of the usual tropes: poor plot, mediocre humor, and paper thin characters.
The film also offers too much fan service and, not being a big TMNT fan, some of the parts of the film were over my head. However, the film gets some things right by putting the focus on the Turtles, the solid action scenes, and Bebop and Rocksteady act as fun villains.
All of this equates to a very mediocre movie overall, but still better than the atrocious first movie.
