Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016) by Peligun — 13 Jun 2016
I understand the target audience is for small kids and for current generation of fans for TMNT that being said however, This film was a slap in the face of old fans. The first film grew on me and I eventully like it even with its problems. This one is just mess, plot holes that even a small kid will notice. Source material was glanced at at best. The saw a picture of Krang and the Technodrome and said alright lets make him super annoying and nothing like the show at all. Also they don't explain where he comes from in the least just like they threw it in there to try and get us older fans to go see it and it did for me and I was severely disappointed. Never thought I'd say this but Donney was WAY to smart, he figured out the plot almost faster then the villains knew what was going on. This movie was a flop and a waste of money, don't even see it for free on TV in several years, not worth your time. Trailer was extremely misleading.
I love Casey Jones as a character and Stephen Amell as an actor but it was an absolutely wrong casting choice and writing was just horrible.
