Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016) by Brandon T — 07 Jun 2016
I don't see why critics hate on these movies to such s great extent. Is it what it's supposed to be, a blockbuster action film about ass kicking turtles. Do these critics expect Kubrick, Asronovsky, Scorcesse, Nolan? I have no clue.
This is a fun movie that seems cater to the original TV show cowers that us earlyy 30-somethings enjoyed so much , while at the same time keeping the franchise open to the younger viewers. The VFX on the Charachters is awesome, and the soul of the original series permeates throughout (although I hated the new hockey mask for Casey Jones ), the voice acting is on pont for the genre, and the delivery fits in perfectly !".
Tthis movie is an all around fun ride that Is meant to be viewed in the context of the genre . We got Krang , bebop and rocksteady, finally, too! Screw everyone. If you loved the original show when you were a kid then you should have no qualms.
This isn't "Interstellar" or "The wrestler"in terms of plot/character development because IT DOESNT HAVE TO BE, these are anthropomorphic turtles , people!! four stars for delivering just what Expected / wanted .
