Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016) by Late R — 16 Aug 2017
In an unexpected and rarely seen turn of events, the sequel is actually a huge improvement. Opting to get rid of the dark and gritty feel, 'TMNT: Out of The Shadows' returns to its roots and not only embraces the goofiness of the original source material, but also portrays the characters as faithfully as anyone who grew up with The Turtles could hope for.
Unfortunately, that is all the praise I can give this film as the rest was simply atrocious. With incredibly lazy writing in every arena, an overabundance of CGI and a complete lack of entertaining fight scenes, this is a flick that will only interest viewers on the younger side which, to be quite fair, is the intended audience.
