Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (1991) by Erik J — 14 Aug 2012
While the tone is more lighthearted and comical than the original it still has top notch animatronics and decent action set pieces. Unfortunately theres even less of a story going on than the last film.
The Turtles "journey" to discover their origins and the eponymous "Secret of the Ooze" ultimately leads to nothing, and the even more ridiculous looking Shredder's revenge plan is half baked at best.
The fight scenes with the new mutants are the best parts of the film, and even they feel drawn out and padded.
