It's not a very deep movie in the least. cookie cutter script.
Some things were so far from canon that it seemed that they over-compinsated by adding too much of the original TMNT in to even it out but it ended up making it look obvious and ridiculous.
I did enjoy the quip about Turtles from space being ridiculous in regards to early script rumours that they would be.
Shredder was a bit much. and for being the turtles main villain they didnt really set him up as a character very much. we barely even saw his face. and like I alluded to, his suit was a bit excessive.
