Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) by Lasse G — 28 May 2016
What this movie shows is that if you try to combine the dark and gritty feel of the original comicbooks and the funny humor of the television series, you get something that just shouldn't exist. This is a movie that I think I would have enjoyed so much more if I was still a child and I really love these turtles, so that really shouldn't be the case.
And let's all be honest: this is not a ninja turtles movie; this is an April O'Neil movie featuring the ninja turtles and that REALLY SHOULD NEVER EXIST!! Megan Fox is really not good in the movie and that's not good when she is the leading character in the film.
Much of her story really didn't fit with me at all. When the turtles come in, however, is where the movie really shines, because they really manage to bring the humor to the screen which is something that Fox was never able to do.
This is a really bad movie that has some good points, but in the end, it's a failure on so many different levels.
