Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) by Eduardo A — 03 Jun 2016
I grew up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I loved the first great film of 1990 (and seen all the incarnations of the characters in various TV series and comic books), and after 15 years, from the movie, here comes this film, produced (NOT DIRECT !!!!) by Michael Bay and directed by Jonathan Liebesman.
I'll be honest, it is not a completely successful film, but not as bad or horrible, I admit I laughed, but not much. The history and the foundations he had, not bad, in fact, that delves into the origins of the four brothers reptiles, I found it interesting. Flashback scenes, I liked it, and the way in which turtles are characterized, not bad (Donatello is characterized here a little better, compared to the 1990 movie, which was a sort of comic relief by Michelangelo). The chase scene in the snow I found really crazy The actors playing the turtles and Splinter, thanks to motion capture, they have been good. Speaking of Megan Fox, who plays the role of April O'Neil, I have not found it particularly good in the role. Will Arnett, who plays the role of Vern Fenwick, is not so bad, and William Fichtner, who plays Eric Sacks (character that looks like a kind of parody of Tony Strark) was good.
The movie does not shine for their originality and is very hasty in carrying out the plot, but the 2 hours slip away, quite.
