Review of Teen Wolf (1985) by Simon P — 14 Jul 2008
Bizarre high-school werewolf comedy (with little to no horror elements) sees Michael J. Fox in a role that only he - with his unique acting and comic talents - could possibly pull off. The film is built around a strange subtext involving alpha-dog mob mentality, the search for true identity and the recklessness of youth.
..but none of these things fire off and the finale where Fox turns into a champion werewolf basketball player is just plain weird. Worth watching for the novelty value alone, this film spawned off a far more successful Saturday morning cartoon by the same name.
