Review of Teen Wolf (1985) by Caleb M — 17 Nov 2010
Corniest movie I've seen in... three full moons.
Teen Wolf is surprisingly decent. The make-up and effects are outrageously bad, but the whole werewolf thing actually works as a metaphor for puberty and high school popularity. Doesn't hurt that Michael J. Fox may be the nicest werewolf ever put on film. Piss this guy off, he'll growl at ya, but that's about it. There's also a nice father/son relationship here that manages to avoid the typical route any other film about a teenage werewolf would have taken.
Watch closely at the very end for a mischievous extra.
