Review of Teen Wolf (1985) by Dylan N — 16 May 2011
One of those rare films that literally could not have been produced in any decade except the one it actually was produced in. It is so 80's in every single way that, when it comes time to summarize the 80's in a time capsule because of zombie dinosaurs or robots with AIDS lasers or something, it should definitely be considered to represent the decade's teen comedy output.
He's a werewolf? Sure! Everyone in the school immediately embraces this fact, while its still not even newsworthy outside of a small town? Sure! This werewolf is like a mix between Lebron James and the Monstars from Space Jam on the basketball court? Why, of course! I can't decide if it was cocaine that played a huge part in this movie's conception, or if the 80's really were, as the parents say, just 'a different time.
