Now this is what the 80's were about. Teens going through trials and tribulations, a small love story and a kick ass soundtrack.

The story being told here is a cliched one, many John Hughes films and other teen film have shown these type of films before. The no name student, who becomes a success and let's it go to their head, before realizing what is important.

Michael J. Fox is the star, at this time he had become a huge commodity after the success of Back to the Future and Family Ties. He plays this role of Scott Howard well, showing the innocence and insecurities of a teenager going through a change. The whole wolf is a metaphor for what happens when your life changes and how you need to adjust to whatever life has coming for you.

The performances from the rest of the cast is also quite good, although a bit silly at times, what can you expect from this type of films.

The soundtrack is another high point featuring some great tracks, two of them I do have; "Win in the End" by Mark Stefan(last montage song)& "Shooting For the Moon" by Amy Holland(at the end).

I will recommend this film as a great 80's film. 4 out of 5 stars.

TRIVIA:

The scene where Scott & Boof are walking & talking, the street they are on is a block away from the block where Marty McFly got his by his Grandfather's car in Back to the Future.
