Review of Ted Bundy (2002) by Ali S — 13 Aug 2008
While it was interesting to hear the story of Ted Bundy, it was presented very badly in this movie. This film is about a very serious subject matter but thinks its an wacky indie comedy. Very strange.
Some of it did scare me but I think it's only because I knew that it was based on true events. It certainly wasn't because of the acting or writing. They couldn't even get basic filmmaking techniques right. For instance, the editing is absolutely horrible, especially within scenes.
Ted Bundy: The Movie concerns itself much too much with the nitty gritty and not enough with actually giving us a portrait of a sociopathic serial killer. The film almost takes pleasure in relaying the details of his murders and sexual perversion.
I really wonder what the motivation was behind making this. If it was to be an odd, B movie, they succeeded.
