Review of Ted (2012) by Ashen M — 17 Feb 2015
This is a really great movie. I know some people are mixed about it, but I think "Ted" is a comedy movie for the ages. Mark Wahlberg I'll tell ya just keeps on surprising lately with his movies, and that doesn't include the new "Transformers" movie he is in lol. Wahlberg as I said before in my "Lone Survivor" review in the superstar for this generation as he literally just keeps rolling in one good movie after another. Mila Kunis also gives a very emotional and compelling performance as Wahlberg's love interest in the movie who wants Wahlberg's character to step up to plate of an adult instead of getting fucked up on the couch at 9am on marijuana with his Teddy Bear buddy Ted. Who is without a doubt going to go down in history as the most foul mouthed.
Teddy bear that has ever appeared in the movies. He literally has no filter, but that is what makes the movie so damn funny because it's a teddy bear for crying out loud. Teddy bears are suppose to be cute and fuzzy and give you a warm feeling on the inside lol. But not this teddy bear as Ted literally has the mouth just as dirty as the next Boston street thug. Which brings me to my final conclusion and the main star of this movie who is Seth MacFarlane, who does the voice for Ted and also wrote and directed this great comedy with great humor and passion as he literally shows he has a talent for directing comedies. This is a very funny, filthy, obscene and daring comedy to make which is why MacFarlane deserves all the credit as a guy of his stature who also is the genius behind "Family Guy" could be the only one to make something like this into a great comedy for adults. And when I say adults I mean ADULTS as parents who let their kids watch this movie thinking it's a kids movie are in for a real surprise, that's all I'm gonna say.
