Review of Ted (2012) by Divine S — 17 Dec 2013
As a big fan of Seth MacFarlane's comedic work, I was expecting great laughs from his first live-action film. I was not disappointed, Ted is a hilarious movie that is one of the funniest films in recent years.
The jokes contain many movie and pop culture references and have no limit; they are vulgar, crude, and offensive. The plot itself is so simple but compelling enough to make an awesome and fun film. The cast does a good job here, namely Seth MacFarlane as he steals the show as Ted.
Some problems with the movie, though, are that the last 30 minutes seems to drag longer and gets more serious than it needs to be. Despite this, Ted is an effective comedy that should be checked out by fans of Seth McFarlane.
