Review of Ted (2012) by Napoleon M — 01 Feb 2014
Smiles soon escalated to full blown laughter.
Seth MacFarlane brings us his first feature film Ted, a story about middle aged man John Bennett (Mark Walhberg) who, after making a childhood wish which saw his Teddy bear Ted (Voiced by Seth MacFarlane) come to life, must grow up if he want's to take his work and relationship with girlfriend Lori (Mila Kunis) to the next level.
Although the story may not be the most mentally engaging, Ted's a hilarious film that starts warm and escalates all whilst pushing boundaries with it's family guy-esque comedy. This is probably the reason why fans of the show will probably like it more but others may easily find it just as enjoyable.
If you are familiar with family guy you'd be able quick to notice Peter Griffin's voice in John Bennett's furry little friend Ted but looking past this will be no chore as you'll soon be distracted by laughter.
I'd definitely recommend this for a fun evening full of laughs, which will leave you singing the "Fuck You Thunder" song, as it did with me.
