Review of Ted 2 (2015) by Simon D — 30 Jun 2016
This isn't so much a film as it is a series of sketches that Seth MacFarlane couldn't get into any of his shows. Ted 2 attempts to tell a story about Ted fighting for his rights as a living person, but that overall plot takes up roughly fifteen minutes.
To pad out the rest of the runtime, there are cameos stacked upon cameos and scenarios and jokes that play out way too long and overstay their welcome. The acting is fine, nothing special here, even in the quieter, more sentimental moments.
The effects on Ted look nice, but a little less impressive this time around than they did before. But then again, from the looks of how this one did, Ted 2 is overall less impressive this time around.
