Review of Ted 2 (2015) by Mike H — 25 Jul 2015
After thoroughly enjoying the first film, I was excited when a sequel was announced. Having seen the first trailer of Ted 2 (It wasn't the uncut red band trailer) I wasn't that impressed and felt disappointed but I was still willing to go and see the film.
Its always very tricky to pull off a sequel that tops the first film, and rarely has it been done, and although it hasn't been done here, I would say the two films are slightly on par with each other in my opinion. I was initially anticipating Mila Kunis to reprise her role of John's wife, Lori, and I was somewhat puzzled by her absence. However I later learned she could not commit to the role due to her pregnancy at the time so it all made sense then.
Overall I really enjoyed the film, many funny moments. Do I want to see a sequel to make it a trilogy? Tricky question. Hey if it happens great (although I don't see what direction the writers could go in terms of a plot) if not then that is fine with me.
