My review is based on the extended version that has since been released on dvd. this is a better version that brings back alot more back story that shows some of the carnage and character archs that were missing from the original cut.
the film came across as just a action film without any real story, this time around the story works and provides substance for the the action scenes. one of the films that has now been redeemed through dvd.
