Review of Tears of the Sun (2003) by John M — 16 Mar 2009
Offers a cursory glimpse into tribal and ethnic warfare in Africa. I'm a sucker for any military film. Presents morality questions in an intriguing fashion (i.e. How can you weigh the value of human life?).
The rebel armies who commit some of the crimes of genocide depicted in the film are financed by trading in diamonds-some of which are/were sold to major distributors like DeBeers. Think about that ladies the next time you hint that he should go to Jared.
