Review of Tears of the Sun (2003) by Jason R — 03 Mar 2010
For the first hour or so this movie is a tense modern war trek through a jungle that shows just how harsh a reality people in Africa have had to deal with. As much as the military is a major aspect of this, the firefight at the end seems oddly out of place and pulls down the overall quality of the film.
That said, Willis and Bellucci do a great job, and overall the film is solid.
