Review of Tears of the Sun (2003) by Stephen S — 28 Mar 2010
Set in Africa, arises an injustice from the so called "rebels" who killed almost the whole royal family from envy of power. So a mission arises for Bruce Willis and his men who are ordered to rescue an American doctor. The movie stirs up when you are presented all the mortal crimes committed by rebels to innocent Africans. You get to see what a human being is capable of, good and bad. Even for troops to break the rules of engagement. Although it shows us a lot, and is a very understandable plot and conflict, the whole movie is set on an only mission, not a whole perspective.
It is almost completely predictable, a typical but different type of war movies. Overall, I expected more from it since it was highly recommended, but it gives you only half or less of what you want to see. Without going on to great detail.
