Review of Tears of the Sun (2003) by Alex E — 03 Sep 2013
Clearly the majority of the people this website don't understand this film, Yes Bruce Willis is in it but think about how that is used. One would need a star like him to or similar to him to connect with American audiences.
Granted the film did not do well in theaters, but I think one needs to take into account the fact the most Americans along with other first-world countries choose to ignore when things like genocide and other war crimes happen in third-world countries.
Yes it is in part an action movie, but I think one needs to not be so narrow minded when viewing a film such as this.
