Review of Team America: World Police (2004) by Derrick M — 14 Jul 2010
It starts off quite well, it was very funny. The guys from South Park created another controversial film or television show. I must say that I did enjoy the first half of the film. The way you could the strings, and the in-your-face comedy it turns into a somewhat satire. There are many jokes in the film I found quite hilarious, like "A flying Lamborghinii, now I've seen everything" "... Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?" "No" "Then you havn't seen everything!".
It was jokes like that, which made the film funny. Some of the films I thought were a bit too racist and vulgar, but it didn't deter me, because I knew that it was all satire. The sex scene was quite an odd experience. Probably the weirdest sex scene ever.
I thought the way that they made fun of relationships in action films were funny. The fast approach to corny love stories, mocking most action love stories.
The film did have its down fall though. I found I was losing interest after the first half of the film. The novetly had worn-off and the jokes were a bit recycled. The film had a good start, but a bid down-fall at the last half.
Is there going to be a sequel? The end left a window for a sequel.
