Review of Team America: World Police (2004) by Mary S — 27 Aug 2010

I sort of had to be forced into seeing this movie, cosidering it's the work of the "creative" minds behind South Park, a show I'm not a huge fan of (obviously). I'm glad I saw this movie now though, when this movie has a good joke/idea it's a major hit, and the songs within the movie are catchy.

The spoofs of movie cliches (such as montages) are absolutely hillarious. Anyone who likes South Park will regard this as the best movie ever, anybody who dislikes South Park will still appreciate this film.

It's very well written and very funny. The problem with this film for me was it did make some cheap jokes at points. Mostly when nothing was going on. Over all this movie is an over-the-top comedy that will satisfy most people who watch it.

This movie is NOT for the easily offended. If you take everything seriously and can't take comedy with anything but seriousness, don't see this movie and take pride in how much of a buzzkill you are.

I give Team America: World Police a 4 out of 5.
