In contrast to South Park: The Movie, this film is not satirical in the same sense. They both parody other topics, but their techniques are the same. Many people will instead watch a filthy movie where marionettes swear, throw up, and even engage in fornication, so not everyone will witness that.

And certainly, that is a significant component. However, if you can't laugh at yourself as well as others you disagree with, you won't like this movie, which is another important factor. If you take yourself or your personal politics too seriously, you will probably detest it since it takes equally harsh jabs at both sides.

You'll probably despise R if you can't chuckle at the humour that tests him to the limit.
