Review of Taxi to the Dark Side (2008) by Sam S — 24 Feb 2008
I found the documentary to be eye opening and informative - lots of clear facts. Very well presented, clean cut, down to the point...Over all it was a very good documentary film. The subject matter was difficult to watch, however it is something that has to be seen for us to understand and change our ways.
Myself, and many other audience members, found ourselves screaming and muttering/mumbling curses and insults at the individuals on screen. I left the theatre feeling angry...incredibly sad, ashamed. Just - very complicated emotions.
Whatever your feelings are regarding the "War on Terror", Bush and his cronies, torture, etc....see this documentary - if not to become more educated about the content, then at least for Dilawar and the other innocent civilians who were beaten and tortured - ultimately leading to their death.
