Review of Taxi to the Dark Side (2008) by Ben S — 27 May 2008
OK, so I have a major weakness for documentaires and it came as no surprise to me that the winner of the best doc at the Oscars was one of the best documentaries I have seen in the last five years.
As seering an indictment on US troops abroad as you can get, this really shows the "dark side" to modern warfare.
The worst thing about the whole thing, it actually shows us how Dubya writes his own pardon from being accused of war crimes - and he gets away with it! W.T.F. people, wake up and smell the coffee, your government is absolutely corrupt, your leader is a war criminal and yet you sit by and watch it happen and od nothing! Apathy is Bush's strongest weapon and he uses is every day.
The fact that prisoners are being murdered and we all sit by and watch shames me, watching this film made me feel powerless and I hate that.
Very powerful film.
