Review of Taxi to the Dark Side (2008) by Valerie M — 27 May 2009
Every American citizen should see this film. It concerns the US policy on torture, specifically at the prisons in Bagram, Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay. It is unsettling and sometimes highly disturbing.
This is an incredibly potent look at one of the most important issues facing Americans today: the war on terrorism, and how far is too far, the ethics and legal questions of torture and the extent of executive power and so on.
Educate yourself because these issues do affect you, even while you think you're safe in your bubble of ignorance and apathy.
