Review of Taxi Driver (1976) by Hiatt N — 04 Jan 2013
Taxi Driver is that rare beast: a dark, masculine melodrama that doubles as a nuanced and immaculately planned art film. The film is both a deeply personal exploration of chaos and an exposure of a twisted reality.
It is Scorsese's greatest work; his most probing and insightful.
