Review of Taxi Driver (1976) by Gavin M — 25 Dec 2014
One of the greatest character studies of all time. Robert DeNiro's performance as Travis Bickle his without a doubt his most iconic performance of all time. Martin Scorsese who I can never say enough about is without a doubt the best director that has ever lived.
He has a way of capturing New York City in ways nobody ever has. Especially with this movie, he captures it in a way that we see New York the way DeNiro's character does. Sketchy, dark, and impossible to look away from.
