Review of Tarzan's Magic Fountain (1949) by Russell G — 14 Mar 2011
Lex Baxter takes over the loin cloth from Johnny Weissmuller with this Tarzan film. "Boy" is nowhere to be found, which is a plus. Lex's portrayal as Tarzan though is a bit meh. Tarzan comes off as stupid instead of self taught.
Once the action kicks in though, all is forgotten since Lex does a fine job in the physical bits. The plot is a bit weird, even for a Tarzan film, but it all works and holds your interest.
